David Thomas - A Poem Without A Title
3 Views • Nov 10, 2014
Description
i am not myself.
this world has changed me
i've lost the things worth holding onto
and now i start anew
Where will this take me,
i do not know
But what is clear is simple
only my sad gloomy eyes mistake it
for intentions of the budding flower
and the promises of a dying tree,
these ages will mean nothing to me
If all i bring is sadness
then let my life whither away
If all i cause is pain and tears
then let me cease to be any fears
If all i am is some miniscule feather
on the back of an ugly duck,
then let him shed me and fly away
turn into a now great swan,
If all i am is nothing good
then let me vanish into thin air.
