Glancing across the room, your stare like a tranquil sea
A sea of mystery
A mystery to behold
I had never seen such knowing, attracting eyes before

It was your smile that first interested me
It lit up your face brighter than all the city lights
A hidden smile
A smile you hid
Because I had never seen such a pretty smile before

It was your wit that first enchanted me
Razor sharp, cutting quick, proving your worth
Making me laugh
Laughing at me
I had never known someone with a wit like yours

It was your touch that first enraptured me
Soft touch fingers, glancing my skin, holding me close
An electric touch
Touching with sparks
I had never felt a touch like yours in all my life

It was your heart that first captured me
You opened yours first and instantly I took it up
Endearing you close
Closely held to my own
I had never loved a heart as much as I loved yours
