David Taylor - Memory
1 Views • Nov 08, 2014
Description
seemingly no answer.
Rattle the letterbox;
still no movement.
Throw stones at the window
no, nothing stirred.
I'll try phoning;
I can hear the phone ring
echoing down an empty passage.
I call out as loud as I can;
only my own echo greets me.
And as I turn to leave,
giving up all hope and efforts;
I remember,
I am,
the one,
inside.
