David Taylor - Another Poem

A poem pithy but sublime.
A verse with music
and maybe also rhyme.
A message that strikes home
but with a gentle humor shown.
A piece of experience
rightly earned
through the many paths
on which we've travelled
and we've learned.
And with the skill
of words we write
sharing all that's given light.
A warning too
if that seems right
of things that took us
into the night.
What you say is up to you
but do share it all
and write
another poem that we might
treasure in our hearts tonight.
