He was just 15 or so Francesca said
When a different tribe of Glasgow boys
Beat the boy to death.

A jolt, another jolt was all I felt

Am I and mine the one important thing
It seems to me I am?
Risen ape or fallen angel
What a piece of work is man

The risen ape will feel the visceral jolt
And be appalled
The fallen angel turns away
And hides himself in words.
