No never I
Not for wealth nor joy
Would I have served myself like this.
Thoughtless, gormless, fraught with lust and longing
I was a boisterous puppy thumping into things and feeling nothing
You loved me and I never knew
You loved me and I never knew


And now I,
Engaging in an empty life
Of chasing chimera and pointlessness
Older, wiser, fraught with loneliness and longing
Pretend I am sufficient to myself with solipsistic mental tricks.
I am living on the holodeck
And I am the projection
