You feel lonely
You take a pen and write
Everybody feels alone
takes a pen and writes,
Libraries and bookshops
are attics of solitude
and death rows.

Little personal secrets, poems,
anecdotes, stories and novels
that come out and turn back,
shreds of approximate skins
severed from you.

An inner voice cleaves the silence.

Each trace you leave
is a cold reminiscence
of your breath.

Days traverse you
nights haunt you,
you need a flame
against the wind
to keep up your own belief.
