David Harris - Yesterdays And Yesteryears

Yesterdays and yesteryears
are just memories now
But I would give almost anything
to relive them somehow
There were no money worries
that our parents shared
We may have been poor
but no one really cared
As long as we were healthy
to see each day through
wake every morning
to see the sunlight on the dew

It seems a millions years
have come and gone
since those carefree days
of the long, long ago
when summers seem to stretch
the whole year round
winter never came
in those long ago years
we were so carefree
with no trouble or pain
Oh how I wish now
we were those children again
