David Harris - Mud (Fun Poem 162)

When we grow up
we still want to be a kid
and do all the things kids do
like rolling in the mud
then chasing others around
with our muddy hands.
Every once an while we let go
of the responsibilities we have
and just play in the mud
like all kids do
just to remind ourselves
how free we were then
before the world closed in.
