David Harris - In Daydreams

In daydreams, I seek
a place where I have been
and wish I could have stayed.
A place where the air was clean
and not affected by pollution,
a place where in quiet times there
no heads of confusion fret.
A place where friends sheltered you
with cloaks of love and care.
A place where at sunset
everything felt at peace
to trampling troubles
or stabbing fingers.
Just a place where tranquillity lay
in daydreams I wish
once more to be there.
