David Harris - Empty
5 Views • Jun 14, 2014
Description
and empty wall
surround me where I sit,
my thoughts hark back
to days gone by
and the way it used to be.
Everything was touched
with love;
its warmth enveloped me here.
Every room was filled
with wonderful things
dotted here and there.
The walls were never empty,
pictures and photographs
looked down at me,
as I would sit here.
Someone had forgotten bills
that had to be paid.
Then came the bailiffs.
I look around and everything is gone.
My life is left in misery.
Oh, what happened?
What went so dearly wrong?
Our loving home is now empty, even of you.
