David Harris - Brand New Day

Each petal of every flower,
from white to flaming red,
opens to greet each new day,
from their sleepy bed.
Every living creature,
whether it is large or small,
awakes from their slumber
as each brand new day comes to call.
As the world awakes around us,
all its wonders begin to appear,
as if someone has waved a magic wand,
when the sun begins to appear,
and a brand new day comes to call.
