David Harris - Armistice Day
5 Views • Nov 08, 2014
Description
millions and millions fell on both sides.
Men, women and boys robbed of a future
in the futility of a world war.
It decimated a generation
and scarred so many lives.
Now sadness hangs over
those battlefields far away
and each November the 11th
at the 11th hour, we remember
the lives that were stole away
and the sacrifice they made
so that we could enjoy our lives today.
Dedication.
This poem was written not only for those who fell in Two World Wars, but also for those who have sacrificed themselves in recent conflicts. May we never forget them.
