David Harris - Age

The body says one thing,
but the mind is in denial.
The clock is striking against you,
but the mind can’t accept the fact.
To the mind you can do,
all the things you used to do.

Age has a way of creeping up on you,
making it impossible to do the things,
that when you were twenty one,
you used to do with ease.
At some point the mind has to accept,
the body is getting weaker,
frailer than it was before.
