They liken you to an ancient wall
In the wash of the sea of time,
Which wears the mortar from your joints
To weaken you so you'll fall. They greatly err, mistaking you
For the rubble of human thought
Piled up by man to withstand time's sea,
God's test of redeeming worth. You are the rock beneath it all,
Single, seamless, one.
Against you crashes time's thundering sea,
You fling it back as a spray.
