David de Haas - sitting here

I sit here in the darkness..
Not a word can be heard
Not a scream, not a whisper…
The air thick, damp and cold..
The floor hard like concrete
The ceiling not able to be seen…
I sit here in the darkness
Not knowing what to do.
Not knowing what i think..
All I can hear my heart thumping
The noise putting me into a trance..
I close my eyes and fall a sleep…
Only to wake..
Still sitting there in the darkness
