David C. Simon - Friendship

Friends should be there for each other
And spend time with one another.
My friend lends a helping hand
And I'm there to support him and understand. We call one another on the phone,
For advice on homework we're never alone.
We go to each other's house and to arcades,
Play sports, board games, and go to parades. We sit together on the bus
Socialize and discuss.
In soccer and b-ball we're on the same team,
Afterwards we savor ice cream. We keep in touch every day
And listen to what each has to say.
We will continue to be best friends next year
Always close and always dear.
