David Burnside - My Angel

About a week ago I was looking for a reason to wake up, a reason to live.
A better day than yesterday, a better day to begin.
My direction was lost, most certainly unknown.
I wanted nobody, I needed to be alone.
And as if it was meant to be, An angel did appear.
Her words full of hope, her smile endless cheer.
She had made me feel whole again, my lonliness is fading away.
I thank god for putting her in my life, i now live for today.
I'm praying this is not a dream, O please don't let it be.
I need my angel in my life. I need her in me.
My world now has a purpose. A meaning till the end.
She encouraged me to be myself, to love again.
And if she ever has to leave as some angels do.
i need her to know that she has changed my life.
And I thank you.
