Festival regular Dave Holland (2005 Miles Davis Award honoree) opens the first of his three evenings in the Invitation series with Kenny Barron, the pianist, composer and arranger who played alongside James Moody and Dizzy Gillespie. Performing onstage as a duo for the first time, welcome one of the most influential double bassists in modern jazz history and a master of the piano. On the program: virtuosity, and nothing less.
