Description
NASA's Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) impacted the 'moonlet' Dimorphos in the Didymos asteroid system. The Les Makes observatory captured imagery of the impact from the French island of La Reunion. Meanwhile, the first imagery from the DART mission's LICIACube has been returned to Earth.
