Darrell Kaisner - Forgotten Way

Eyes sorrowed by delusion;
Scornful of this dreary way.
Confined by only being;
Doubtful we can stay.

Are we empty and unseen,
Beyond harmony, full of greed?
Leave me be and steer away;
Will you listen to my creed?

Mindful journey of our origins;
Wandered furious and free.
Assured there is a better way,
A better place, I need to be.

Drifting just a little further
May ease this weighty load.
All the way, minds will rest
Still, alone in their abode.

It is gone before the wind;
Sand seeps beneath my feet.
Though many may never see;
I found peace in my defeat.

Taken back with little query;
Shepherd guides the other way.
Let times gone by remain
To forgive me for my stray.
