It's a secret

Death will grow

He has many eyes

From earliest time
Only I can know
I must not tell
Or death will grow

It's the maximus secretum
The Secreta Secretorum
The secret of secrets
And I must not tell

Before the Earth
Before the Sun
It was a secret
It's older than time

Hinted to Greeks
When already old
But hidden again
As souls turned cold

Whispered again
In the Middle Ages
But dangers grew
So I closed the pages

It is shrouded in mist
And veiled by darkness
Hidden from wisdom
And shrewdly cloaked

For if you knew
It would torment
Now and forevermore
Then You mustn't tell

So save yourself
You must go
For your own peace
I can not tell
