Daphne Grant - June Rain
7 Views • Jun 18, 2014
Description
Glowering, the storm,
Spills rain on the trembling leaf.
Far in the distance stands,
The Pylon, arms outstretched
I see the sudden lightning flash through it.
Shakes the aspen now like crazy,
Making statements, branches sway!
Dark, the backcloth of the houses,
This June day.
Over the rooftops, pitter, patter,
Starts the raindrops, music falling,
While the parched grass still is waiting,
As I wait for you to ring.
