Sleepless tonight, my mind ponders upon
The happenings that have come and will come
Wondering from where, next, they will come from
Sleepless, in silence, waiting out the dawn

Thoughts of victories won thus far along
And the defeats that left my heart breaking
Hopes for tomorrow don't quell the aching
But, hopes, today, tomorrow will right wrongs

Oh, Lord, calm this beating heart within me
And dim thoughts of joy and sadness for now
Grant peace as much as my heart will allow
Tomorrow wake me to all I can be

Remind me these memories should have taught
To be thankful for what, right now, I've got
