Description

In this cavernous labyrinth,
devoid of oxygen
eyes meet,
bodies mesh with one another.
A patchwork of searching souls halt,
silenced by the crippling pulsation
of weathered rocks thrusting themselves
free from meticulously set walls.
Lives carved out before they had begun.
In this maze faces melt,
mouths scramble words into riddles
and melodies flutter,
haphazard, tangling themselves with breaths.
The people joining together in ritual,
almost as though holding hands as they
sway in time together.
Just one thing before them,
the faint glowing light against the
dark speakers, a beacon to follow.
They follow it, are herded by it
and remain standing before it as though
it were a deity.
