Danielle Candy - When it starts to snow

That time of year is here
When we all come together
And we show no fear.
Where we all love and there’s no tears
Where we forget our troubles from the past year

But I cannot forget as my eyes start to cry
That there’s someone missing
Someone who should be by my side
As I look around and see faces full of Christmas joy
And I see children playing with there new toy
I start to cry thinking of you, Thinking I should be happy to
But all I can think of is you, lying there alone in your grave.
With no one to hold or to be by your side. But at this time of year
I have to hide, my tears for I don’t want to make others cry
I have to hide my sorrows and try to be brave, but again I think of you alone
In your grave.

I can’t believe it still hurts so much
I thought the pain would ease or even lessen
But it hasn’t, It seems to hurt more
It seems to be more painful then ever before
I try to stop these tears from coming but they
Insist to fall, I don’t know what to do I’ve lost it all.
My mother I miss you after eleven years,
I don’t show them but I’m full of tears,
So I’m thankful for the friends that I have
For those ones who love me and make me laugh
Because I know with each and every smile they make me show
Inside of me there’s your inner glow.
So goodbye my mother I miss you so
I’ll be thinking of you when it starts to snow
