Description

Long after Sun has gone to sleep for good-
The stream, it babbles, wind blows softly past,
The crickets play their quiet violins,
The moon gilds all the world with silver light
From heaven-stars and planets shimm'ring on
The stilling scene of boy and girl who speak
With flowing words entwining hearts and souls
Together and forever lifting both
Up to the stars to dance immortally
With gods and heros bold in tales renowned,
Descending in good time to dwell among
The naiads in their streams, to taste of drink
So rich, its like has ne'er been found by man,
Return to surface only for to hear
A music so profound it fills the air
With something real, with something you can feel
And never catch-that stirs the mind and heart,
And though the Sun wakes up to blind the Night-
The crickets die away, the stars will hide,
The moon takes back its silver for its own,
The naiads disappear into their beds,
The boy and girl still have each other near,
And in the other's eye they see the Night-
The glist'ning stars, the moon that shines so bright,
The naiad's drink, enchanted music sweet,
So long as Love holds true for boy and girl,
The Night will last, by Love immortal made.
