Description

Here I sit listening fade to black.
And I remember the agony from my past.
Friends and loved ones lost and gone.
Moved away or gone back to god.
How did I get through all that?
What would I do without my poetry?
I think things would fade to black.
Because I just want them back.
I kept my feelings all bottled up,
But yet I had so many things to say.
It’s a wonder I didn’t fade away.
How many people helped me through?
How many have gone through the same thing?
Without these people what would I do?
I guess I would just write to you.
But I did not fade away,
I did not fade to black.
All the agony I went through.
I’m lucky I can come back to you.
Megan Hodil I love you.
You held me close in my time of need.
When I didn’t fully believe.
What happened to my friends shouldn’t be.
I’m so lucky on that day.
When I couldn’t keep my tears at bay.
I will always miss those two.
I just wanted to say,
you became my angel on that day.
And I love you.
