I didn’t choose this.
I didn’t decide this.
I fought it for years,
hoping that ignoring it would make it go away.
It doesn’t.
It just lurks, waiting, until another day.
I didn’t choose this.
It was forced on me against my wishes.
It waited till night fell, and
savagely raped my dreams;
penetrating not just my thoughts and feelings,
but the very heart of me.
A million tears were shed,
with hopes of rescue all but dead,
this isn’t fair, I didn’t choose this.
Why can’t you understand

this.
