Am I your friend,
Fighting depression?
Am I your sister,
Making a bad impression?

Am I your daughter,
Regretting my past?
Am I your lover,
Acting too fast?

Am I that girl,
Across the street?
The one that never
Appears to be beat?

Am I your enemy,
Acting just fine?
Am I pretending
There's no pain inside?

Am I that girl,
The 'confident' one?
The one who's scared,
To be on her own?

Am I the classmate,
The one who's 'smart'?
Am I the one
That you're jealous of?

Am I that person,
Thinking too hard?
About everything in life
I can no longer ignore? .

Or am I just sitting,
Alone in the dark,
Wondering how
My life will unfold?
