DAKAR FUTURE - A hydrogen solution
Description
Pipo Moteurs is an independent French engine manufacturer established in 1973 and based in the Ardèche department, 100 km to the south of Lyon.
Pipo Moteurs has built up its reputation in motor sports through long-standing partnerships with renowned constructors such as Ford, PSA, Hyundai and Bentley, with which it has won 13 FIA world titles (drivers and constructors) so far.
2016 was a pivotal year for Pipo Moteurs, with the development of our own engines —a 4-cylinder turbo for the Rallycross Championship and a V8 biturbo that made a strong impression in the World Endurance Championship (24 Hours of Le Mans).
Our next challenge is to return to the legendary Dakar Rally in 2023 with a hydrogen engine capable of delivering the same performance as the rest of our current range.
