The sidestrip supports the Cancer Society of New Zealands Daffodil Day symbolises hope for the 1 in 3 New Zealanders affected by cancer. Since 1990, this iconic event has inspired people from across the country to come together and support the Cancer Society's work. As well as providing an opportunity to raise awareness of cancer in New Zealand, Daffodil Day is the main funding source for the Cancer Society.
