Dacoit apprehended in Margherita

A dacoit was apprehended and was brutally thrashed by public at Ketatong village under Margherita sub division. Later, he was handed over to Police.
The apprehended dacoit identified as Aakash Gohain (27) is a resident of No. 1 Motapung village under Barekuri Police Station in Tinsukia.
As per sources, a six member team of Bandhan micro finance employees, Digboi were stopped by a gang of six dacoits in the middle of the road near Babu pathar area near Ketatong village and attacked them with a sharp machete.
Later, local people upon getting information about the situation came into the rescue of the bandhan micro finance officials. One out of the six dacoits was apprehended by locals and was handed over to police.
