D Weezy Quarles - Fate

Another day goes by without me laying eyes on you,
This is a day ill never get back
I waited 14 years to meet this girl
And at that time I never wanted to be away from you,
But now im sitting here writing poems about what could’ve been
What used to be
Two years ago I couldn’t imagine life like this,
I was so sure god had planned out our lives as one,
But here I am away from you,
Sadly learning the awful truth,
That life goes on without you,
Even though every part of me surely doesn’t want it to,
But god doesn’t make mistakes
So with that ill continue to wait,
Some may call it dumb
But ill jus stick with fate
