The Turkish military imposed a curfew in southeastern regions of the country, following pro-Kurdish demonstrations in which 19 protesters were killed. The demonstrators denounced the government for failure to act against Islamic State forces in the Syrian-Kurdish city of Kobani. New violence erupted when several hundred demonstrators broke the curfew and attacked police with rocks; the police responded with tear gas. teleSUR
