Description
With the CUPRA Tindaya show car, the challenger brand redefines interior design with a radical yet simple idea: "No Drivers, No CUPRA." Inspired by motorsport and cutting-edge technology, the cockpit is designed as a consistently driver-centric architecture.
At the center of the design is the "Driver Axis": a sculpted dashboard with multi-layered structures framing a 24-inch freeform display. The steering wheel, inspired by racing and gaming, offers full control without distraction via satellite buttons, while the raised center console serves as the backbone of an integrated, tactile, and functional mono-cockpit.
The experience is enhanced by advanced phygital interaction—the merging of physical and digital worlds. At its center is "the Jewel": a sensory, symbolic interface that activates the vehicle, adapts driving modes, and alters the atmosphere through light, sound, and ambient responses. This is complemented by a projection strip along the lower edge of the windshield, haptic controls, and a high-fidelity sound system—developed in collaboration with the audio experts at Sennheiser Mobility—that transforms the interior into an immersive, resonant space.
The interior is designed in a 2+2 configuration, with opposing limousine-style doors and the new generation of CUPBucket seats—a modern reinterpretation of the classic Eames Lounge Chair. They combine sustainable materials with ergonomic precision and enveloping ambient lighting.
