Cuba, US Envision Further Steps on Road to Normalization

Following today's historic reestablishing of diplomatic relations between Cuba and the U.S., both sides envision further steps toward normalization, based on mutual respect and on issues of mutual interest. Such topics would include cooperation in environmental protection, health, science, and law enforcement. To facilitate such progress, earlier today a bilateral commission was created to explore the topics to be discussed, including more complicated issues such as democracy and human rights in both countries. teleSUR
