CTR 2005 - Emotionally upset

i am. emotionally upset.
i am just like one of the three blind mice.
i could see a good thing if it slapped me twice,
i am. emotionally upset.
i've been starving for 18 years
and i couldn't smell a dream if it was 8 inches from my face,
i am. emotionally upset.
i wouldn't hear victory call unless it was as loud as my tears fall,
i am. emotionally upset.
i can taste love so bitter and sweet
but i couldn't taste destiny if it was stuck between my teeth,
i am. emotionally upset.
my whole life is falling apart
not even my granny's crys could touch my heart,
i am. emotionally upset.
i hear many different whispers on many different days
they all say the same damn thing,
that victory isn't that far away.
they say that one day i will bask in glory
so keep my head high
but there is no bask in my soul. some days i wish... i wasn't alive,
i am, emotionally disturbed.
there are somethings in my life that i just can't justify
like how i lay in my bed and just cry,
i am. emotionally discontent.
i'm just ready to go home...
