crystal shover - Hurt

I hurt myself today,
to see if i still feel,
living in a dream,
it all seems so real,

demons chasing me,
wrought from childhood past,
all i do is scream,
but nothing comes out,

the fire burning eyes,
staring back at me,
memories of lies,
tearing down dreams,

i hurt myself today,
to see if I'm real,
or just a memory,
wrought by nightmares.
