Crystal Johnson - Writer's Block....UGH!

My words have just stopped flowing,
I’m losing all my rhyme.
I have to think of something quick,
I’m running out of time.

Where is my inspiration?
I’ve lost my every bit of thought.
Ooh, I think I’ve got it!
Oh, wait, I just forgot.

These words just don’t make sense to me,
And the moment I think I’m done…
I reread all the things I wrote,
And realize it’s all wrong.

This time I think I’ve got one,
It fits just as it should.
No, wait…that doesn’t sound right,
No, wait…this is no good.

Ok, I kind of like that,
That word works very well,
I don’t think this is functioning.
But wait! How do I tell?

That letter doesn’t go there,
That word doesn’t even rhyme,
That comma shouldn’t be there,
This poem can’t be mine.

Ugh! Oh, how confusing,
I can’t do it anymore.
I’m about to take this computer,
And throw it out the door

Oh please, somebody help me
Something’s got to give
Without my flow of poetry
My words will not exist!

Maybe I’ll use some paper
And maybe I’ll use a pen
But I’m sure that I’ll get halfway done
And the start all over again.

My mind is going wild
My fingers keep on typing
I don’t even recognize
Half the things I’m typing

Right now my brain is empty
And man, am I confused
But until my writers block has past
This thing will have to do.
