Crash not cause by engine failure-Asiana CEO

The President and CEO of Asiana Airlines told media Sunday the crash landing of flight 214 in San Francisco on Saturday killing two people was not a result of engine failure.

Yoon Young-doo also apologised to the families of the passengers, bowing deeply during the press conference.

Witnesses said the Boeing 777 appeared to have missed the approach area of the runway and that the plane's tail broke off.

One young passenger who survived the crash spoke to local media before being whisked away by police.
