Couple uses Facebook to identify attacker

MANILA - A sales agent who allegedly sideswiped another car and attacked a driver is now facing criminal charges after he was identified on the social networking site Facebook. Jefferson Tan's car was sideswiped by another car along Dapitan Street in Manila, damaging his side mirror. Both cars stopped and when Tan knocked on the other car's window, the other driver went out, shouted at him, and hit him. The driver also shouted at Tan's wife and mother. Tan took pictures of the driver and the damage to his car and posted these on Facebook. A common friend on Facebook then told Tan that his attacker is a certain Michael Aquino, a car sales agent. The Tans are filing charges of physical injury and malicious mischief against Aquino and his companion. - @ancalerts, ANC, September 12, 2013
