Couple Survives Patio Lightning Strike

Kayla and Tim Powell of Sabine County, Texas survived a frightening lightning strike that hit their patio as they were unloading groceries on August 14.

Miraculously, the couple were unharmed aside from some minor bruises, and this surveillance camera footage captured the entire moment, as well as the reaction from one of the Powells’ sons.

“I remember a little bit of heat, but after the white light, that’s it," Tim Powell told local news station KTRE. “I definitely feel blessed, someone was watching for us on that day.” Credit: Facebook/Kayla Powell
