Coup De' Grace - The Shadows

The shadows creep around me
As I lay awake
I hear their voices call my name
Are they just fake?
I feel an eerie presence
almost like a ghost
yet I feel as if I’m alone
alone in a world of passing shadows
alone in a world where there is only hate and rejection
alone in a world where we are taught to hate
alone in a world where everyone is the same
alone in a world that doesn’t care
alone in a world where I’m only a freak
alone in a world where I’m just a girl
a girl who never loves and never hates
a girl who thinks even the simplist things are fake
