Countering the demographic decline | People

Germany has the world’s second-lowest birth rate, after Japan. The birth rate in Germany today is only about half what it was 50 years ago. Demographic experts say this decline is in part due to many couples’ decision to postpone childbearing until their careers are on a solid footing.
