My soul is rain, my heart is sad,

I need the love I’ve never had.

My soul is frozen, my heart is cold,

I need that special person to hold.

My soul is dark, my heart is black,

Her brightening smile is what I lack.

My soul is separate, my heart is alone,

I need her lips to touch my own.

My soul is upset, my heart is depressed,

In many ways my sadness is expressed.

My soul is grey, my heart is crying,

Everyday it feels like I’m dying.
