Corey Thomas - Nick's poem

She was one of a kind,
A smile that illuminated my life.
Her strength I will always carry with me.
From the time I was born,
She was there reassuring all my moves and dreams.
Qualities I will never forget;
The way she moved with such dignity and grace.
The marvelous hugs I always received.
The knowledge she instilled in me,
Even though she protected me
It was never overwhelming.
She built the confidence you see in me.
The love she has for me
Will never disappear.
Although she is no longer near
All the memories will remain here.
I am honored to say:
She is my mother
and I am her son.
