You've knocked and entered over a thousand times,
but the one time I was silent was the last knock I ever heard,
it's sad, because if you'd have knocked just once more you could have entered. Giving up so easily must've been the easy way.
Who could've guessed you would leave me so soon,
destined to mourn the loss of love,
hidden away from the moon and the sun.
Crouching behind the walls I've built for myself that you were afraid to scale.
But I guess I can't blame you.
After all you're just human,
you're not an explorer meant to seek the heart
nor a hiker meant to climb over walls…
you're just human.
