Corey Culler - I Can't Believe

I can't believe this is happening to me..

As the light dims down,
I find myself on the ground,
making no sound, I slowly drown,
I can't escape, it's all around,
but I can't back down,
this is all I have,
so now,
all I have, is what I see,
and in the end, I'll never be

I can't believe this is happening to me!

I give it all that it takes,
but it's not enough,
I do what I must,
to get through the unseen,
I'm never done,
and this is how,
I burn it to the ground

Step through the darkness,
take and breath and breathe,
slowly as I seethe,
this is the end of me,
and I hope I never break,
but surely I will shake,
this demon on my back,
and now,
this is what I lack

I can't believe this is happening to me!

Fake it, break it, do as you please,
I'm not the one, you're the disease,
(I'm just trying to get by)
