Conservatives continue calls for McSweeney investigation

Conservative MP Nick Timothy said an investigation needs to be launched to look into whether Sir Keir Starmer failed to declare support from the think tank Labour Together during his 2020 leadership bid. It comes after the Labour government defended Keir Starmer amid allegations his closest aide Morgan McSweeney failed to declare more than £700,000 in donations to the think tank which Mr McSweeney was previously leader of.
